Founded in April 1980 by Timothy Doherty, the company began with just two employees and a bold vision to help companies navigate the labor challenges of an economic recession. Backed by a passion for connecting people with work opportunities, Doherty grew from humble beginnings into one of the Upper Midwest’s most trusted names in staffing and recruiting services.

Building on Four and a Half Decades of Growth
From its early adoption of staffing technology in the 1980s to weathering multiple economic downturns, Doherty has consistently adapted to meet the evolving needs of its clients and talent alike. Over the past decade, the company has expanded its reach across the Upper Midwest and nationally through strategic consistent workforce offerings in light industrial staffing, professional recruiting, and customized employment solutions.
