A Message from Our Founders

As the founders of our Foundation, the Doherty family’s humble goal is to support the efforts of local non-profit organizations and help positively impact the lives of those most in need. We strongly feel that uplifting and empowering the people we encounter each day creates a lasting change within our communities that can be felt for generations. We believe that every person deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. It is this belief that drives us to go the extra mile and to stand alongside those who need us most.

Our Foundation has made a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable children, families, and individuals, opening doors to brighter futures. We have helped create safe havens and fostered a sense of belonging for those without shelter and basic daily necessities. Together with our companies and employees, the positive impacts we have made, and continue to make, are a testament to the collective power of compassion and action.

As we embark on our next philanthropic chapter, we intend to create ripples of positive change that will reach far beyond our immediate communities and current generation. Whether through volunteering, spreading awareness, or making financial contributions, our Foundation’s mission drives our passion to give back. Each act of kindness and support brings us one step closer to achieving our shared vision of a more equitable and compassionate world.

In closing, let us remember that the true power of humanity lies in our ability to uplift and inspire one another. Together, we can create a future where hope is abundant, where dreams are nurtured, and where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Supported Charities

Corporate Charitable Giving Program

The purpose of our Charitable Giving Program is to recognize our responsibility as good corporate citizens and contribute some of our resources back to our communities. Our Charitable Giving Program supports employee involvement and is directed toward local agencies and non-profit organizations that provide services to the communities where we live and serve.

Monetary Donations

We prioritize giving back to our communities by donating to local agencies and non-profit organizations near and dear to the hearts of our employees.

Company Sponsored Charitable Events

We participate in company-sponsored charitable events each year to build awareness of our philanthropic responsibility in our communities.

Volunteer Initiatives

We offer opportunities for our employees to serve our local communities by extending their time and talents to non-profit organizations an agencies serving those in need.

Our organization cares about making an impact, which is why we encourage employees to volunteer each year in several ways. First, we offer each employee up to eight hours of paid volunteer time annually to encourage our team members to get involved and give back to non-profit organizations within their communities. Second, our company organizes volunteer events that are eligible for matching monetary donations to designated charities several times each year to bring our employees opportunities to volunteer with co-workers and make an even bigger impact on an organization. Lastly, our Corporate Charitable Giving Program offers generous donations to non-profit organizations in which our employees complete 20+ hours of their own personal time to volunteer on a board of directors or extend their talents to other strategic philanthropic initiatives for eligible entities.

Testimonials

"During my time volunteering with Community Pathways in Faribault, MN, I had the opportunity to work closely with the organization's team. I had the privilege of directly assisting individuals and offering support wherever it was needed. It was a fulfilling experience that allowed me to contribute to the organization's mission while making a positive impact on the lives of those we served. I am grateful to Doherty for granting me the opportunity to dedicate my time to serving the local community."

"Volunteering at the Salvation Army Toy Shop was such a great experience. We were able to help hundreds of families in our community during the Christmas season while also growing stronger together as a team. I look forward to volunteering again!"

"This past winter, I volunteered with a few Central Services team members from HR, Compliance, and Operations at Dress for Success. We spent a few hours organizing a TON of clothes that had been donated to the organization. It was so rewarding to give back to the community within such a wonderful organization, as well as being able to spend quality time outside of the office with coworkers."

"I had the opportunity to volunteer at Community Pathways of Steele County in Owatonna. On this particular day, our team was volunteering in the food shelf section where we were loading carts and stocking the shelves with product. There happened to be a blizzard going on which resulted in the schools closing. Milk that would go to waste due to school closures is donated to the food shelf, so I truly feel like we were there on the perfect day to help with all the deliveries! Their team was also very grateful for all the help we were able to provide. I love that we are encouraged to volunteer and I'm looking forward to doing it again!"
