2026 Employment Law Changes Webinar

Minnesota Employment Law Changes

Understand these Changes & How They Will Affect Minnesota Employers

Watch Our HR Webinar from Wednesday, October 22nd

Our panel of employment law and HR professionals discussed the following employment law topics taking effect January 1, 2026:

  • Minnesota Paid Leave | Minnesota businesses will be required to provide employees with paid time off and job protections to eligible employees facing serious health conditions, caring for family, bonding with a new child, or in situations involving military deployment or personal safety issues.
  • Work Breaks, Rest Periods | Changes to current laws regarding employee breaks are on the horizon. State law will require employers to provide workers with a 15-minute rest break (or enough time to use the restroom, whichever is longer) for every four hours worked and a 30-minute meal break for six or more consecutive hours.
