Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin broke records with their fundraising event in Eau Claire last week, "Bowl for Kids' Sake." The bowling-themed event runs in shifts over several weeks in bowling alleys in Hudson, River Falls, Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Proceeds from the event goes to fund the 40+ year old organization, which matches children with mentoring adults. BBBSNW serves hundreds of children a year in 5 Wisconsin counties, "in developing and sustaining quality mentoring relationships that change children’s lives for the better, forever."
Doherty Business Development Manager Amanda Kunferman has served on the Bowl for Kids' Sake planning committee for four years and is currently the Co-Chair. "I am excited to share that it was a record-breaking year and we raised over $153,000 right here in Eau Claire. Agency-wide, we raised over $235,000, and that money stays in the local communities."
Doherty was proud to be a contributor to this important event and organization.
