Doherty Builds New Office in Brooklyn Center

To better serve our clients and workforce, Doherty has relocated our Brooklyn Park office to a new building in Brooklyn Center.

In April of 2017, Doherty broke ground on a brand new office near the intersection of Brooklyn Boulevard and 69th Avenue North. At the end of October, the team officially moved into the new building and opened the doors for business.

“We recognized a need for more space to accommodate the growth and business opportunity we’re seeing in the north metro,” said Valerie Doherty, CEO of Doherty Staffing Solutions. “More than 37 years in business has taught us that as the employment market evolves, we must adapt accordingly to stay in front of the businesses and candidates who need our services. This new office was the answer.”

Formerly located at 7600 Boone Avenue North in Brooklyn Park, the newly-built employment office is now at 6940 Brooklyn Blvd. The office is more visible to the community than its previous location, an area that offered less traffic and business exposure. The Brooklyn Center building is also more easily accessible for clients and contingent workforce applicants, with many of the latter relying on the nearby bus line for transportation to the office.

“What’s unique about Doherty is that we are a family-owned company,” said Valerie Doherty. “Despite growth and change over the years, we still strive to maintain that family-owned culture and ethic, not only for our corporate employees, but also with our talent pool and our clients.” She concluded, “Our goal is to continue that standard and are looking forward to further growing our presence in the Brooklyn Center community with the new office.”
